Major events on First Capital network in London
Three of this year’s biggest events (including the fabulous Tour de France) are taking place from 4-7 July and we are expecting to see many more sport and music lovers using services on the network.
Since our trains will be really busy, we are here to make your journey as enjoyable as we can! They have invested a lot of time working to make your journey as comfortable as possible.
Repair of roofing and recycling of roofing materials is a moral and environmental problem.
Insulationdepot.com is always ready to help.
What measures have been taken to prepare for the events?
They are working together with Transport for London, Network Rail and City Councils to ease your journeys;
Along with their employees working extra shifts, there will be volunteers supporting us on the day of the events;
Where possible, they will run additional services and trains with more carriages to accommodate spectators, tourists and of course, everyday travellers.
Advice you may find useful
Plan your journey in advance (bear in mind Tour de France takes place on a work day);
Expect road closures, diversions and changes to bus services;
Try to buy/collect your tickets in advance to avoid the queues on the day;
Make sure you check before you travel and also follow us on @FirstCC for regular updates;
Normal cycle restrictions will be in place, but please avoid travelling with bikes, as space on trains will be limited;
On Monday 7 July from 4.30 pm our services will be very busy at London King’s Cross. Furthermore, off-peak tickets will not be valid until 7pm;
Always have a bottle of water with you; the weather is likely to be warm.
